Practice Makes Perfect

Like all the other predictive techniques, it takes practice to use the pendulum. Sadly, when you start you may get more wrong answers than right ones — you need to train yourself to use it properly. That’s especially true if you plan to use the pendulum as a predictive tool for other people. Although when using other techniques, such as cartomancy, you can refer to the text if you get stuck or forget what something means, you can’t do that in the same way with the ‘pendulum. The link between it and your subconscious instincts and intuitions is too direct for that, so you must strengthen this link before you can use it to give guidance, to other people.
